Jake Trowbridge has been with us as part of a Back to Work program from Team Elmers | North Michigan Concrete Asphalt Excavation Crane & Rigging He volunteers in many ways with the residents such as: leading discussion groups, conducting exercise groups, assisting with Happy Hour and socials and sitting outside with the residents and talking 1:1 with residents. Most recently he helped arrange an outing for the residents to the company he works for. He was the tour guide as we drove around the plant and he pointed out all the details of what Elmer’s does. The residents got to see all the huge trucks and the stone and dirt piles and the garages. After the tour, he got everyone ice cream which was supplied by Elmer’s. Cindy Karker (Director of Human Resources) then came on the bus and gave every resident a backpack with an Elmer’s mug, socks, a deck of cards, and an Elmer’s T-shirt. It was such a fun outing!!
